Incentivised onchain distribution
In the last months there has been a shift on onchain distribution.
Creators are now leveraging onchain native tools to engage a wider audience. This has been very clear with creators using @boost_xyz effectively and reaching onchain virality.
Creators such as @Cooopahtroopa with @cooprecordsxyz and @levychain with Mint Podcast are successfully leveraging Boost combined with their social distribution (and onchain social graph) to deploy onchain content at scale. Normally this content hits trending charts on several platforms, putting them in front of a wider organic audience.
To explore this, we created a Dune Dashboard (check it here) where any Boost creator can input their wallet address and check their boosted mints stats, their Boosted mints campaign performance (CPM, revenue and ROI), the impact they had at chain level, protocol level and per token distributed. They can also analyse their Boost Audience according to their onchain and Farcaster activity.
This is only possible because Boost is entirely onchain, which allows combining @boost_xyz data with all the onchain data available on Dune, enabling transparent analysis of creators Boost campaigns’ performance.
Taking the example of @cooprecordsxyz they have boosted more than 32k mints to +6k unique claimers. This allowed them to reach @soundxyz_ viral charts several times, some times with multiple musics at the same time. The vast majority of boosted mints were on @base and on @soundxyz_, using OP as a reward token.
From the users that minted trough their Boosts, 40% are on Farcaster. Creators can check on the dashboard which Farcaster users boosted their mints, their engagement score as a well as the channels where they are most active. And use this data to iterate their campaigns to improve performance.
Check the Dune dashboard with this analysis here.
Creators can also track their Boost audience minting activity, NFT secondary market activity and DEX activity to spot patterns, better characterize their minting users, and finding new opportunities.
Additionally, Boost allows any token to be used as a reward. This can be leveraged by memecoins/scenecoins to reach wider audiences trough creators. @degentokenbase and @bonsai_token404 have been sponsoring creators using this strategy to increase token holders, expand awarness and reach wider audience.
Since with Boosts, the end user consciously collects the NFT and claims the reward, the memecoin/scenecoin benefits from Boost’s reach and also the the creator’s reach and brand awareness. This method is different from an airdrop where it’s passively distributed to the wallet and the end user sometimes doesn’t even has any perception of it.
If you are an onchain creator/collective/brand looking for ways to expand your audience and to reach wider onchain distribution, start thinking of how you can use onchain incentives such as Boost as part of your growth strategy. Feel free to reach out if you are exploring this route.
